City Council Study Session

October 15, 2007

I.                   CALL TO ORDER

Mayor William M. Wheaton opened the study session at 7:50 p.m.

II.               ROLL CALL

Ron Gant (1), Betty Branche (2), Ken Waito (3), Andy Zblewski (4), Cheryl Krause (5), George Strander (6) and Mayor William M. Wheaton.

            Administration: Mike Herman, City Manager;  Kevin Markovich, Director of Public Services; Kerry Helmick, Finance Director/City Clerk/City Treasurer; Peggy Sindt, Economic Development Corporation President; David Moore, Economic Development Corporation Attorney and Chuck Robison, City Attorney.

III.     DISCUSSION

            A.         EDC – Adjustment of Development Area Boundary.

An overview was provided by City Manager Herman.

Additional comments were received from Council Members Gant, Waito, Strander, Zblewski, Branche and Krause; Mayor Wheaton; City Manager Herman; Director of Public Services Markovich; Economic Development Corporation President Sindt; City Attorney Robison and Economic Development Corporation Attorney Moore.

            B.         Sidewalk Special Assessment Process – Alternative Procedure.

An update was given by City Manager Herman.

Additional comments were received from Council Members Strander, Krause, Zblewski and Gant; City Manager Herman; City Attorney Robison and Jay Loomis, 101 East Evert Street.

IV.       ADJOURNMENT

            Krause moved, Strander supported, CARRIED, to adjourn the Study Session.  (7-0, rcv).

            Mayor Wheaton adjourned the Study Session at 9:05 p.m.
