City Council Study Session

March 19, 2007

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor William M. Wheaton opened the study session at 7:50 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Ron Gant (1), Betty Branche (2), Ken Waito (3), Andy Zblewski (4),  Cheryl Krause (5), George Strander (6) and Mayor William M. Wheaton.

            Administration: Mike Herman, City Manager; Kevin Markovich, Director of Public Services; Kerry Helmick, Finance Director/City Clerk/City Treasurer; Eric Miller, Chief of Public Safety;  John Tracy, Code Enforcement Officer and Mark Robison, City Attorney.

ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL DISCUSSION

City Manager Herman provided an overview of the proposed ordinance changes in each of the following three areas:

A.         Proposed changes to parking requirements.

Additional comments were received from Councilmembers Waito, Zblewski, Strander and Krause, Mayor Wheaton, City Manager Herman, Director of Public Services Markovich, Chief of Public Safety Miller and Code Enforcement Officer Tracy.

B.                  Proposed changes for curb cuts and driveway aprons.

Additional comments were received from Councilmember Waito and Mayor Wheaton.

C.                  Proposed changes for abandoned and junk vehicles.

Additional comments were received from Councilmembers Branche, Waito and Strander, Mayor Wheaton, City Manager Herman, Chief of Public Safety Miller, Code Enforcement Officer Tracy and City Attorney Robison.

    IV.   ADJOURNMENT

Zblewski moved, Strander supported, CARRIED, to adjourn the study session.  (7-0, rcv).

Mayor Wheaton adjourned the study session at 8:46 p.m.
