To receive complaints, hold hearings and make judgments concerning the conduct of franchisees that provide CATV services to the citizens of the city of Albion.  To advise the Albion City Council on CATV matters.  To publicize the information necessary to fully advise Albion citizens concerning their rights and duties under any CATV franchise and the CATV ordinance.  To enforce provisions of the CATV ordinance.

This seven-member board is appointed from all six precincts of the City with an additional member chosen by the Council from among its membership.  The Mayor appoints the members who serve without pay and Council confirms the appointments.  Residency is a desirable prerequisite to appointment.  The ordinance provides that in so far as possible the six appointments should be made from all six of the City's precincts.
